Job Description:/h3:
Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for plans and designs methods to improve production processes. Reviews existing processes and develops solutions to increase productivity or reduce costs. Ensures compliance with approved production methods and quality standards. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Works under moderate supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Evaluates production processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators
:Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
:Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout
:Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
:Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
:
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
:
Continue gaining exposure to some of the more complex tasks within the job function.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

:
Bachelors degree (B.A./B.S.) in engineering or related field or equivalent
:
2:4 years related work experience;

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Knowledge of various software required, such as: Internet; Manufacturing; Spreadsheets and Word Processing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; and frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.
