Job DescriptionPosition Title: Sr. Manager, Marketing Events This position requires an extremely high:energy individual with strong management and organizational skills with a proven track record of success in managing large:scale projects and teams. The candidate will be insightful, creative, and collaborative, have a passion for creating robust strategy and marketing programs that drive results. In this role, you will: Lead a team of Strategic Event Managers that execute industry trade shows and Thomson Reuters:branded events including SYNERGY user conferences. Apply analytics and insights to better understand target audiences, their behaviors and interests, and improve engagements. Drive and execute audience acquisition strategy for SYNERGY user conferences and other events. This would include evaluation and selection of lead capture technology and the implementation and training surrounding this activity. Develop training for Thomson Reuters staff in preparation for event participation to include both process and prospect engagement. Lead various tiger team groups to execute a highly coordinate SYNERGY user conference that will satisfy our user base need for education and networking while creating an environment for showcasing Thomson Reuters products and identifying sales opportunities. Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders. Analyze event operations and prepare and implement recommendations for improving operational efficiencies within the event organization. Roll:up post event analysis, budget recaps, internal and client feedback for internal reporting.Thomson Reuters provides professionals with the intelligence, technology and human expertise they need to find trusted answers. QualificationsDesired Skills: Ability to identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; compare data from different sources to draw conclusions; use effective approaches for choosing a course of action. Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills with ability to develop positive relationships with team members, internal clients and other company or vendor partners. Exceptional leadership and staff management skills. Ability to pay great attention to details, remain flexible and communicate plan adjustments to stakeholders. Outstanding project planning, organizational and prioritization skills. Strong motivational skills with a passionate desire to enable the companys growth. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Excel as well as flexibility with similar alternative programs Willingness to roll up his/her sleeves to get the work done or go the extra mile. Strong personal work ethic. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, regularly works face:to:face with senior management and C:Suite. Educational Requirements: Business Marketing degree preferred. 10 years of marketing experience (corporate or agency) with at least 10 years of direct supervisory experience preferred.
