The position will be responsible for ensuring Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) are properly applied to a variety of complex issues in a retail business environment. Position is primarily responsible for the daily oversight of a team of individuals conducting complex processing involving a dynamic and robust variety of capital expenditures.Supervising the day to day activities for a team of 14 Accounting Coordinators.The team is responsible for Creating Projects in Oracle PA (Project Accounting) for IT, Merchandise, and Fuel related projects and Uploading Projects from Project Forum to Oracle PA on a daily basis for New Stores (Development) and Facilities Maintenance.The team also Interfaces Projects form Oracle PA to Oracle FA (Fixed Assets) when placed in service.Projected Capital spend in 2017 of 1.3 Billion.Monitor and review system processes in Oracle to resolve exceptions and errors in an accurate and timely manner.Respond to ad hoc requests from various business partners in Accounting and other areas of dependently identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational/aging issues with outstanding data for projects.This includes the ability to work cross functionally with Development, Real Estate, Finance, IT, Merchandising, and Hot Foods teams to complete processing of projects.Projects can often be of a material (:10 million) nature.Position is also responsible for preparation of complex CIP reporting.Reports include, but not limited to CIP Close Report, Dead/DFT Analysis, CIP Aging, CIP Balance Sheet Review.Preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations (sub ledger balance of 380 million) to ensure accuracy, sufficient supporting documentation, and compliance with GAAP.Respond to monthly, quarterly, and annual audit requests from internal and external auditors.Maintain process narratives documentation to aid in SOX compliance in addition to reviewing the FB:14C, FB:14E, and Project Accounting Memo documentation.Gross 2016 PP and E roughly 9.8B.Education: Bachelors/4 Yr DegreeExperience: 5+, Project Forum, Fixed Assets, Microsoft Office, Oracle, TrinTech.Strong analytical/critical thinking and problem:solving skills are required to understand and appropriately respond to a variety of business process issues.Strong written and oral communication skills are required to prepare process documentation, summarize recommendations for review by various levels of accounting management, and resolve various issue.Strong (intermediate to advanced) computer skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel) are heavily used.Specifically VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables.Experience with process based ERP depth GAAP knowledge is critical.1:3 years of Management/Supervisory/Team:lead experience ternal Job Posting Period March 2:March 15.
