Position Description The social media manager will grow McKessonA?s followers, engage and retain them, and help convert them into leads, customers, and active fans and promoters of our company. The manager will be the resident expert on best practices and trends in social media marketing, enjoy being creative, and understand how to both build and convert a digital audience. As part of the content marketing team, this position will manage listening, planning, publishing, and analytics of the active social media channels. This role will work closely with marketing teams across the enterprise to understand their requirements and desired use of digital channels to engage and build relationships with customers/prospects. It will also act as editor of McKessonA?s social channels ensuring successful and coordinated content marketing execution between all social media contributors. The social media manager is a key member of the corporate content marketing team reporting to the senior manager, inbound marketing. Key Responsibilities: Content Strategy Develop a content strategy for each active channel (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and potentially new channels). Create strategic content plans that align with channel strategy and support Corporate Marketing objectives. Write and edit content promotions for publishing on brand owned channels.Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence.Explore new ways to engage and new social networks to reach our target audience.Identify and implement innovative strategies for content reuse across the organization.Listen and engage in relevant social discussion about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing customers and from brand new audiences that donA?t yet know us.Use communication and leadership skills to establish and evangelize content standards that reflect the voice of McKesson.Recommend new strategies and vehicles to effectively target a changing audience landscape.Develop and continuously interpret metrics that assess the efficacy of content. Social Media / Online Community Management Develop social media channel strategies.Align online community goals and objectives with the overarching business goals of the organization.Develop strategies for engaging online followers in two:way communication. Manage regular collaboration and information sharing among social media practitioners at McKesson.Develop and maintain policies, guidelines and best practices to provide center:led municate guidelines and best practices to company stakeholders.Educate senior management and develop social media A?champio
