Basic Function:The SEO Specialist II is responsible for executing search engine optimization (SEO) strategies and tactics. This individual helps guide the content, web and technology teams in their SEO implementation across all websites and brand extensions and participates in the development of digital content, including paid search and online display advertising.Job DutiesWrites and edits content for the sole purpose of SEO Repurposes and optimizes existing content for digital channelsConducts keyword research around key opportunities from an organic and paid media perspectiveCoordinates with internal and external teams around SEO content direction, structure and developmentLeverages SEO insights to guide online media messaging, including paid search, display and paid socialApplies test, learn and optimize methodology across all tacticsEstablishes and tracks goals through ROIManages SEO reporting dashboard for ongoing results and monitors all activityPartners with the analytics team to analyze all website traffic and performance media to guide optimization that leads to positive ROI among campaigns Reporting Relationship:Reports to AVP Content and CommunicationsDirect Reports: Not at this timeQualificationsKnowledgeAdvanced knowledge of content strategy and content development, leveraging SEO best practices according to latest ranking signalsAdvanced knowledge of external SEO factors and search engine algorithms and their impact on searchSolid understanding of keyword research, web user experience and testing methodologiesIn:depth knowledge of online media, including paid search, display ad development and paid socialSkillsAdvanced SEO writing and editing skills with adaptable writing styleAdvanced SEO technical infrastructure understanding, including IA, Robots.txt, sitemaps, URL structure, page titles, on:page headings, image tags, title tags, taxonomy and metadataAbility to develop optimized organic content, paid search content, display ad content and paid social contentAbility to work under tight project deadlines and manage multiple assignments while also maintaining high standards of accuracy, SEO best practices and legal complianceAbility to analyze GA, Webmaster Tools and Omniture data and provide actionable insightsExperience3+ yearsA? experience in SEO content development role and 5 years overall in content marketing writing/editing2+ years paid search and display advertising experienceFamiliarity with content management systemsExperience with Google Analytics, Webmaster Tools and OmnitureA/B testing methodology and user experience researchExperience with paid social mediaEcommerce experience a plusAgency experience a plusBachelorA?s degree Work Conditions:Normal office environment
