Incumbents in this job are responsible for collecting on charge:off accounts by making and receiving calls, and utilizing LoanMe eight steps to a successful collection call. In addition to making and receiving calls, this individual must perform skip tracing techniques and must document accounts accordingly. Incumbents will prepare notifications to secure payment; explain penalties, interest, deadlines, and consequences for failure to comply. Candidate will also obtain and evaluate financial information for the purpose of negotiating payment of balance in full, settlement, and or payment plan. Knowledge of FDCPA standards and state lawsAbility to negotiate while maintaining a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalismMake outbound and receive inbound calls and consistently follow LoanMeA?s collection call model and techniques.Ability to perform basic skip tracing tasks which include following LoanMeA?s skip tracing matrix in order to make contact with our customer.Consistently and accurately document all information pertaining to accountsMake recommendations to litigate while following all state and FDCPA standards and federal regulations regarding collections proceduresUse basic/business math to solve problemsSpeak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand, information and ideas as presented verballyRead, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or proceduresFollow written and/or oral instructionsAble to work in a fast paced, team oriented environmentAbility to change quickly with the needs of a growing companyMeet monthly individual goals as set by the Department Manager The ideal candidate must have a minimum 3 years post charge off recovery experienceExcellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills requiredBasic computer skills required: Outlook, Excel and WordDialer experience a plusProcess check by phone and or ACH requests accuratelyAbility to multi:task speaking with customers and typing in notesDetail OrientedAble to maintain composure with difficult customersPromote a positive work environmentOther tasks as assignedMust be able to maintain the End of Month Schedule which consists of up to three (3) consecutive days which occur on or around the last business day of the month. Should the last day of the month fall on a weekend, the EOM schedule for the last day of the month falling on a Saturday or Sunday will be: an eight (8) hour shift on the Friday before the last day of the month, this shift will have various start times beginning at 5:00 am Pacific time through 12:00 pm Pacific time, and an eight (8) hour shift on the Saturday on or before the last day of the month. EOM occurring on the last business day of the month that does not fall on a weekend will require, at minimum, one eight (8) hour shift that will vary in start time between 5:00 am to 12:00 pm Pacific Time. There may be other mandatory shifts scheduled as dictated by business need.
