Facilitate achievement of highest supply chain efficiency from supplier to store shelf, with lowest shelf delivered cost. Monitor and streamline procedures for production, purchasing, product configuration, warehousing, distribution, and financial forecasting to meet production and distribution needs. Direct activities to limit cost and improve accuracy, safety, and customer service. Direct the movement, storage and processing of inventory of full Kroger supply chain (plants, distribution centers and stores) to achieve maximum efficiency. Essential Job Functions::/h2:
: Stay current on improvements and technologies within planning and materials management; champion incorporation into plant practices.
: Network with other Kroger material supply managers to incorporate Best Practices and lead innovative synergies.
: Develop processes and procedures to foster continuous improvement and accountability between departments, within team, and with external suppliers.
: Partner with Merchandizing and Sales Planning to optimize production and procurement activity for customer requirements.
: Coordinate production for new products; bring together sales, packaging, purchasing, production and material.
: Manage orders to satisfy production and customer requirements.
: Manage production scheduling process to optimize Customer Service, Working Capital and Reliability.
: Help establish and manage finished goods and raw material budgets.
: Master PRISM inventory control software and advocate its use for inventory accuracy.
: Provide commodity, ingredient, and packaging buyers with timely projections on all items requested.
: Provide Marketing with information on slow:moving items and work to eliminate product going out of date.
: Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
: Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems.
: Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
: Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports.
: Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. Minimum Position Qualifications::/h2:
: Bachelors Degree in logistics or related field.
: Two or more years of supply chain management experience in the food industry.
: Strong background in food processing and packaging.
: Ability to meet deadlines with limited supervision.
: Strong planning, organizational, and prioritizing skills.
: Ability to synthesize complex or diverse information, identify data relationships and dependencies, and design workflows and procedures.
: Strong analytical thinking and problem:solving skill.
: Ability to foster collaborative working relationships.
: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
: Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite of products.
: Understanding of integrated planning systems : Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP). Desired Previous Job Experience::/h2:
