This is one of six roles nationally that will oversee the team responsible for driving leads in the wireless business sales channels, managing wireless relationships, monitoring performance results, and working to improve/maintain sales objectives for the Telematics fleet business.

• Leading a team to drive increase in sales productivity and lead generation, linking VZW and VZT teams to opportunities
• Maintain alliances and relationships with VZW Market Presidents, Retail VPs, Directors, AD’s and BSM’s for their assigned territory – conduct regular visits, strategy sessions and business reviews
• Work with VZT Ops to identify key reporting requirements for VZW leadership to show activity and performance metrics
• Develop strategy surrounding performance data, prepare team and participate in bi-monthly read out calls with leadership, and other meetings to maintain open communication with functional Director and VP
• Make decisions on SMB strategy, territories, staffing, employee relations and performance
• Review data relevant to territory structure with Sales Ops and design territory support for half of the country
• Strategize with Wireless on sales engagement activities including blitzes, knowledge transfer, strategic events to conduct to drive NWF, Fleetmatics and Telogis leads and sales
• Delegate actions by territory to ensure connectivity to all levels of the VZW channel distribution
• Identify gaps in sales tools necessary for VZW channels to generate fleet opportunities including information, collateral, and other Marketing resources
• Leads team effort as liaison between VZT Marketing and Operational resources to VZW distribution to provide industry trends, compliance drivers and vertical market solutions to help drive opportunity


• Ability to develop geographic, vertical, and assigned account list targets
• Lead a team to assist VZW with knowledge of competitive landscape and business requirements to win in specific market environment
• System knowledge and analytical capability of SFDC and Insight Squared to execute decisions based on metrics and data sets
• Understanding of VZT and VZW sales process to minimize sales cycle timeline
• Active coaching, developing, and leadership of a team effort
• Strong communication skills to C-Level and all levels across Verizon business units
• Extensive sales and sales management experience selling to small, medium, and enterprise business segments
• Strong sales and technical background is required, with a detailed knowledge if mobility, SaaS, IoT, and Telematics technologies
• Specific industry experience with an understanding of embedded OEM systems and technologies as they relate to fleet management, navigation, mobility, aftermarket, and SaaS
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in consultative selling or solution-based sales/sales management is required
• Experience with funnel management and determining root cause success/challenges based on funnel analysis and creating plans to improve
• Degree: BA/BS required or equivalent professional experience, MBA preferred
• Experience: 9 years of industry and/or relevant sales leadership
