TexasBit is a locally:based construction company and building materials supplier owned and operated by Oldcastle Materials, the largest asphalt, ready mix and aggregates producer in North America. Texas Bit is part of Oldcastle's growing Texas:based network of 47 locations and over 1,200 employees statewide.
Summary
This is a skilled position requiring the effective support of Hot Mix Asphalt sales and customer service to various types of customers. Qualified individual should increase sales by being customer oriented, assertive, well organized, and goal oriented. Relationship skills are critical to this position with the ability to work with internal and external clients at all levels in an organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
:Track City/County annual bids for rebid
:Smart buy management : verifying product, mileage and availability of plant and trucks
:Assist with daily, weekly, monthly schedules
:Assist sales team with Q2C orders when needed.
:Assist sales team with Salesforce data entry.
:Summarize monthly sales data
:Creating and building quality relationships with assigned accounts.
:Quote smaller volume Customers on smaller volume work.
:Customer acquisition
:Assist with customer events
:Keep up:to:date on product changes, selling strategies, competitive methods, expense control, etc.
:Manage administrative duties to include full detailed reports and status updates meeting established deadlines and objectives.
:Establish annual sales projections by product and recommend sales programs to reach sales projections.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education/Experience
:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or comparable discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
:3+ years of experience in related experienceand/or training in aggregates, asphalt; or equivalent combination of education and experience
:Previous experience in construction sales is strongly preferred.
Work Requirements
:Must be 18 years in age or older.
:Residency within assigned territory is a requirement.
:Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
:Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co:workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
:Display a professional and courteous attitude to co:workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
:Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
:Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
:Must have the ability to work without close supervision.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
:Highly developed oral, verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work with management.
:Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information, in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
:Demonstrate effective skills in dealing with employees at all levels.
:Ability to be a self:starter and able to operate under general guidelines.
:Proficiency in Microsoft Office software package.
:Ability to make presentations in front of many people.
:Ability to effectively work with customers, employees, and suppliers.
:Ability to provide and understand detailed information.
:Ability to analyze issues independently.
:Ability to perform under deadline pressure.
:Ability to understand and follow complex verbal and written instructions.
:Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
