The Digital Strategist will report directly to the Director of Digital Marketing who oversees the execution of marketing strategies to drive acquisition and retention for GESA? global brand. The Digital Strategist effectively interacts with internal and external client teams across all digital advertising disciplines including creative, account, technology, media and web development. Working with both agency and internal partners, the Strategist will be responsible for the day:to:day performance of digital marketing channels, including Paid Search, Natural Search (SEO), Affiliate, Display Advertising and some aspects of Social Media as it relates to . This position will also be responsible for creating and shaping content for these digital marketing efforts.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a member of the Digital Marketing team, the Digital Strategist is responsible for assisting in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating digital strategy across media, creative, and website experiences. The job requires that close attention be paid to how the entire digital channel works to bring to life brand positioning and campaign communications in the most innovative manner. This position is client:facing and requires strong presentation skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a passion for constant learning. Additional Responsibilities:Develop digital marketing strategies relevant to GES business goalsDetermine digital channels to be leveraged and ideate tactics that align with digital strategy and client goalsUtilize research and tools to help populate digital/social customer profiles and personas; identify unmet needs, hypothesize key customer problems/digital solutionsManage and maintain analytics to evaluate and report insights gained and effectiveness of digital activitiesEvaluate websites and other digital experiences based on qualitative design/functionality assessments as well as quantitative performance metricsDemonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a noted ability to communicate complex or digital/social concepts to a non:technical audienceMonitor trends in digital and social media for improvements that can be made to the businessParticipate/advise/collaborate on website development (have participated from a strategic perspective in a website development/redesign project)Research/analysis skills including online listening, competitive/marketplace auditing, trend analyses (hot topics), and user experience (UX) designExhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical sideBig:picture thinking plus relentless attention to detail and self:starting mentalityDemonstrated success working in fast:paced, highly collaborative team environments.Entrepreneurial spirit and instinct for creative problem:solving Key Skills / Qualifications8+ years experience in either content, social media, digital media or digital strategySelf:starter with excellent project management skills, ability to multi:task in a fast:paced, high stress environment and ensures follow:through on every matter with the ability to move projects to completionKnowledge of advertising, other integrated digital marketing disciplines including but not limited to SEO, SEM, Direct Response, Viral, etc.Ability to employ analytical approaches to solve digital marketing problemsPassion for and knowledge of current and emerging technologiesBackground in most online technologies (HTML, Java, Flash, JQuery, etc.)Advanced Understanding of Google Analytics and Google
