Job Overview: The Email Marketing Specialist will play a key role in the internal and external communications initiatives. The role will work cross:functionally to plan, create and execute emails campaigns to drive key marketing metrics, including conversion, retention and engagement and will be responsible for email segmentation and execution of the contact strategy. This role will design digital communications that our customers find useful, simple, consistent and user:centric. Primary Responsibilities: Plan, execute and optimize regular email marketing campaigns (newsletters, ad hoc emails, automated campaigns, etc.) to drive engagement and retention. Work with internal stakeholders and content team (writers, editors) as necessary to gather, develop and build content and creative for all email campaigns and automation series. Utilize A/B testing and optimization best practices to improve email content and targeting. Proactively monitor metrics (open rates/click:through/deliverability, etc.) and review analytics of marketing campaigns and provide recommendations for enhancing effectiveness. Maintain best practices for list hygiene, privacy and opt:in/opt:out standards. Troubleshoot technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation and other aspects of email execution as required. Manage email campaign calendar and communicate with internal stakeholders regarding campaign timing, targeting and scope. Train new users and support departments and local councils using the platform. Qualifications/ Experience: Bachelors degree is required; Marketing, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing or related field. Two or more years of work experience as an email marketer, web producer, copywriter or similar marketing position. Hands:on experience creating and managing email campaigns in a major email marketing platform (Adobe Campaign, ExactTarget, Marketo, etc.). Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and the capabilities of content marketing platform. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong organization and planning skills.
