POSITION SUMMARY: The Communications Specialist (CS) will report to the Director of Marketing and collaborate closely with the marketing strategy team and other business leaders to create and implement strategic communications programs and to convey the Ameriflex brand and message by developing and editing content for both internal and external audiences.
Ameriflex is an energetic and growth:oriented organization in the health care benefits and payments technology space. Our stakeholders include employers, producers, industry partners, and individual health care consumers, in addition to our own Ameriflex team. This role will be a critical part of our effort to engage with these audiences through various channels (both traditional and digital) with a compelling and consistent voice. The CS will have a direct impact on Ameriflex brand awareness, lead generation, and client experience initiatives.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Create strategic and effective content for websites, blogs, newsletters, and other
communications/publications across different channels that are on brand, on voice, and on strategy.
* Assist with the strategy and development around targeted B2C and B2B content (both digital and traditional).
* Provide writing, editing, and proofing support to marketing strategy team and other Ameriflex business leaders to ensure highest quality editorial standards.
* Assist with the development and maintenance of company content library and content calendar, helping ensure consistency of message and accuracy/relevance of content used.
* Own the development and execution of Ameriflex internal communications strategy, including intranet administration, quarterly town halls, executive communications, and other duties as assigned. Provide proactive and creative recommendations on enhancement of internal communications channel.
* Own the development and execution of Ameriflex social media strategy, including establishment of appropriate metrics and benchmarks to gauge success of various campaigns and messages.
Work with Ameriflex compliance team and other subject matter experts to ensure that all content and communications are compliant and accurate.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
* Exceptional writing skills, as well as strong copyediting, proofreading, and research skills.
* Ability to clearly communicate technical information to a wide variety of audiences across digital and traditional channels.
* Strong portfolio demonstrating ability to create clear and impactful content.
* Excellent organizational, analytical, communication and presentation skills
* Grasp technical and business:related language and translate into creative, compelling copy.
* Self:starter with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
* Experience in developing effective communications strategies and actionable plans
* Ability to handle complex projects, and to work both independently and as part of a team.
CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, Business, Marketing or other related field
* 3:5 years marketing communications experience
* Superior knowledge and understanding of grammar, spelling, and punctuation, experience with AP Style preferred
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
* Experience in content management systems for editing/Web maintenance
* Experience in email marketing applications preferred
* Experience in managing social media channels and content calendar, including Hootsuite
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Accuracy and an eye for detail
* Work with little supervision and ability to take initiative
* Some travel possible
