We blend cultures, talents, and experience into an exemplary health and hospital system. Parkland has earned distinction as one of America’s Best Hospitals by U.S News and World Report every year since 1994.Serves as a lead worker and ensures that staff prepares anesthesia equipment in assigned rooms for operative procedures and maintains supply levels of the anesthesia cart, to ensure that all supplies are present and that anesthesia machines are set up, tested and in working order.Education:-High School Diploma/GED-Some college preferredExperience:-Must have minimal three years of experience as an Anesthesia TechniciEquivalent Experience:- May have an equivalent combination of education and experience.Certification/Registration/Licensure:-Must have Anesthesia Technician certification through the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians within six months of hire and/or placement in job.Must have a current Heartsaver CPR course completion card within 90 days of hire and/or placement in job from one of the following:oAmerican Heart AssociationoAmerican Red Cross RescueroMilitary Training Network.Skills or Special Abilities:-Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of principles and policies concerning anesthesia procedures.-Must be able to operate all anesthesia equipment and to recognize equipment malfunction.-Must be able to read written directions and to write legibly.-Must have demonstrated ability to orient, instruct, lead, and supervise Anesthesia Technicians.-Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.-Must be able to lift, carry, and push heavy objects.Parkland Health and Hospital System prohibits discrimination based on age (40 or over), race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, disability, national origin, marital status, political belief, or veteran status..
