This position is the primary technical resource for the Securus Public Safety Sales Engineering Team. The Healthcare Sales Engineer will be responsible for working closely with the Sales Team to deliver custom driven, world class, leading edge, end to end solutions that rise to the challenges of First Responder Law Enforcement, and Government Corrections customers across the country. The team concentrates on the following mission:critical technologies at various levels of complexity:Public Safety Computer Aided DispatchCAD Mobile and FBR for Public SafetyAdvanced MappingRecords Management SystemsJail Management SystemsCorrections Medical ManagementPrincipal Accountabilities or Duties:Develop and deliver product and sales demonstrations and presentations that explain key technical aspects of solutions that will benefit customers and prospectsAct as the A?go toA? technical resource for the Sales teamRespond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPsAnswer technical questions about integration APIsWork with product and sales teams to interpret customer requirements and deliver solutions with the end:goal of sales in mindProvide feedback to R and D/Engineering for process or product improvementsTravel with salesperson to meetings with customersBe a product expert and champion on all Securus solutions The Healthcare Sales Engineer will work in our Plano Office and will spend much of their time traveling to government agencies, at trade shows, and will be required to attend training events. The SE will have broad latitude to determine which technical solution that Securus provides is most appropriate for the customerA?s needs, and profitable for the company. The ideal candidate must be self:motivated with a proven track record in software sales in the healthcare industry and knowledge of technology. Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails and RFPs. Strong ability to quickly comprehend and explain complex engineering concepts in simple, effective terms. Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches. Potential for extensive travel. 5+ years of pre:sales engineer to include Public Safety Software SolutionsHealthcare industry experience a plusExperience with EMR software a plusBachelorA?s Degree and/or equivalent business or technical education required to be consideredA record of achievement and technical solution expertise in a comparable sales roleEffective live and web:based presentation skills. Effective oral and written communications skills.Demonstrated creative problem solving ability and ability to learn new technologies/conceptsSelf:motivated and possess the ability to quickly understand prospectA?s complex technical architecture/infrastructureMinimum of 3 years working in 9:1:1 or public safety industry required.Minimum of 2 years customer service experience, preferably in the 9:1:1, telecom, or public safety environment required.Minimum of 1 year of experience in a lead role for 9:1:1 or public safety industry related products or processes preferred.Technical knowledge of ArcGIS or ESRI related products is preferredAbility to Travel 65 +This position is located in Dallas, TX. Relocation will be provided if needed.
