Registered Respiratory TherapistPRNThe Respiratory Therapist (RT) is responsible for performing respiratory care assessments, performing and planning interventions, and evaluating outcomes of care. The position requires the ability to interact effectively with patients at all growth and developmental stages, when assigned, and to interact with patients and families in critical situations. The RT is able to work with minimal supervision. Critical thinking skills depict ability to prioritize patient needs and coordinate services as appropriate to respiratory standards of care. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, direct patient care, patient/family education, and provision and supervision of therapeutic treatments. In addition, the RT’s should provide clinical management, control and diagnostic evaluation consistent with the prescribed treatment plan and the policies and procedures. RT’s will actively participate in the departments process improvement and quality initiatives.
