Job Description:/h3:
We are an independently owned private outpatient practice with 2 offices (Bedford and Irving). We have been serving the people of the Mid:Cities and Irving, our staff, and each other for 23 years with the same dedicated providers. We are looking for a motivated professional with previous experience in medical reception who is bilingual. A strong background in customer service and marketing skills with the ability to make others smile while having fun is a must Previous experience in a busy environment including multi:line phones, effective scheduling of multiple providers, collecting patient payments while maintaining attention to detail must be demonstrated. Training will be completed in the Bedford office while the position, itself, will be in our Irving location.
Reception Duties:
1. Greet ALL patients by name on entry and schedules appointments effectively while keeping patients comfortable and the reception area clean and pleasant.
2. Screen and effectively communicate with direct calls, faxes, emails, live web sessions, etc. and provide solutions as well as channeling the information to appropriate sources.
3. Register/Intake new patients or assist the process according to established protocols and provide education regarding office policy.
4. Assist and verify information is accurate and all necessary
forms/documentation completed and signed prior to all appointments.
5. Obtain outside tests, scans, operative reports, and other information as needed; file or notate in EMR. Ensure all external faxing or other notifications are completed.
6. Consistently track personal and group reminders and utilize task and call logs in EMR for assigned tasks and duties while maintaining complete records of interactions both internal and external.
7. Effectively track attendance of patients and assist in process of patient retention, including reports and processes such as Insurance Verification, Authorization, Hold, Discharge, Evaluation, Re:Evaluation, Return to referral source, etc.
8. Respond and effectively comply with requests for information while safeguarding patient privacy and confidentiality; adhere to all HIPAA
9. Maintain supplies. Prepare area/clinic for opening/closure as needed; complete other duties as assigned.
***Part Time 25:32 Hrs/Wk. 1:2+ Years Previous Experience Preferred. Please Include salary requirements.
***Non:Smoking Facility. High School Diploma Required. Spanish speaker preferred. Background Check and Credit Check will be performed prior to hiring.
