In this customer facing position you will be located on site at DFW Airport Dallas/Fort worth TX and be the primary technical advisor on the preparation, planning, design, implementation, integration, and operations of a fully managed and hosted UC platform. You will provide in-depth UC subject matter expertise and guidance to executive management as well as other stakeholders responsible for the positioning, planning, and delivery of UC services within the customer’s environment. You’ll have a positive impact on our organization, and change the way that our customers live, work, and play.
Co-author and maintain Solutions Design Document including drawings.
Attend technical meetings to ensure planned changes will be implemented correctly
Whiteboard high and low level design details.
Provide subject matter expertise, and best practices related to UC network design.
Present technical sessions explaining the benefits and use of the new UC system to end users.
Be the subject matter expert on the UC system, and be able to explain, or train end users.
Be the subject matter expert for the Solutions Design Document and discuss any aspect with all levels including IT Leadership, architecture, and support teams.
Represent the system administrator role of the UCCaaS environment. This administrator will interact with the Verizon UCCaaS service desk for standard and optional MACDs.
Be familiar with all Verizon UCC products related to the UCCaaS deployment, including Verizon UCCaaS, IP Trunking, Managed Network Services, and Private IP circuits.
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Current Cisco CCNP for Collaboration or higher certification.
Six or more years of relevant experience.
In-depth knowledge and demonstrable experience in designing and implementing switching and routing protocols, Quality of Service (QoS), Internet Protocol (IP) Private Branch Exchange (PBX), and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) on an enterprise level.
Experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Voice over IP (VoIP) call control, call routing, and applications and services based on a Cisco Systems platform.
Advanced knowledge of UC Cisco including Call Manager, Unity Connection, Jabber / CUPS, and Cisco conferencing solutions, and how they integrate with the Verizon VoIP portfolio.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Experience with or knowledgeof Microsoft Lync
Demonstrated ability to define UC processes and procedures and develop work plans.
Proven ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action.
Strong presentation skills, with the demonstrated ability to develop and deliver technical presentations to customers and tailor content to audience as appropriate.
Excellent communication and writing skills
Demonstrated ability to summarize technical concepts and communicate to senior-level management.
Proven ability to work effectively with and provide guidance to other members of the work group.
