The subject matter under consideration is Anatomy and Physiology. The typical course of instruction may include: BIOS:251: Anatomy and Physiology I with LabThis course is the first in a four:course sequence in which humananatomy and physiology are studied using a body systems approach.Coursework emphasizes interrelationships between form and functionat the gross and microscopic levels of organization. Topics include basicanatomical and directional terminology, muscle tissues, fundamentalconcepts and principles of cell biology, history and the integumentaryand skeletal systems. BIOS:252: Anatomy and Physiology II with LabThis course is the second in a four:course sequence in which humananatomy and physiology are studied using a body systems approach.Coursework emphasizes interrelationships between form and functionat the gross and microscopic levels of organization. Topics includefundamental concepts and principles of the muscular and nervoussystems, special senses and the endocrine system. BIOS:255: Anatomy and Physiology III with LabThis course is the third in a four:course sequence in which humananatomy and physiology are studied using a body systems approach.Coursework emphasizes interrelationships between form and functionat the gross and microscopic levels of organization. Topics includethe cardiovascular, immune and respiratory systems. BIOS:256: Anatomy and Physiology IV with LabThis course completes the four:course sequence in which human anatomyand physiology are studied using a body systems approach. Courseworkemphasizes interrelationships between form and function at the gross andmicroscopic levels of organization. Topics include digestive, urinary andreproductive systems. Courses may meet once per week or twice a week for eight weeks. The face:to:face interaction in lab and classroom is blended with technology (such as online discussions and online assignments) for an enhanced learning environment.
