POSITION DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Experienced Driver Recruiter
DEPARTMENT: Recruiting
WORK LOCATION: Grand Prairie, TX
CLASSIFICATION: Full:Time / Non:Exempt
REPORTS TO: Recruiting Director
SUBORDINATE STAFF: None
SHIFT/HOURS: 8am:5pm M:F Some Saturday

POSITION SUMMARY: The Driver Recruiter is responsible for implementing all facets of the recruiting process while improving driver retention and safety standards. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that Arnold Transportation is hiring the best possible driving force in order to continue to build one of the most respected and safest trucking operations on the road.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
:Complete ownership of personal recruitment efforts from first contact through orientation and on:boarding
:Source, contact, qualify and interview high volumes of candidates to meet monthly quota for number of drivers hired
:Inform potential applicants about facilities, operations, benefits, pay, and specialty and dedicated opportunities
:Process all applications and necessary paperwork for new hires and re:hires (including experienced drivers) to ensure DOT and Company standards are met
:Read, review, and understand MVR and DAC reports
:Track inbound calls from all forms of advertising
:Work with applicants on pre:hire issues that arise. Be able to explain operating policies, minimum qualifications, benefits, etc.
:Maintain information on each call and generate detailed tracking reports on all recruitment activity
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills
Excellent organizational skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
General knowledge of DOT requirements, employment laws and recruiting practices
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to multi:task in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
High degree of self:motivation
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of recruitment and human resources work
Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding employees history to include employment, medical and driving records.
Must possess strong interpersonal skills (both verbal and written).
Must be computer literate with a proficiency in Word and Excel.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1 Year AS400
1 Year CDL Recruiting Required
1 Year Tenstreet Software Experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Office environment is a cubicle/desk setting with low to moderate noise. Ability to sit for long periods of time, listen and converse clearly via telephone and email. High volume of data:entry (4 or more hours a day). Ability to operate general office equipment (i.e. phone, computer, copy, fax, scan). Position may require overnight travel.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in an office and/or warehouse environment. The employee is sometimes exposed to moving mechanical parts in/around the workplace. The employee is occasionally exposed to airborne particles or caustic chemicals.
