Role Overview The Senior Interior Designer will manage the specification and production of assigned interior finishes, including all interior carpets, furnishings, fabrics, wall coverings, draperies, artwork, accessories, etc.The Role Youll Play The Senior Interior Designer is responsible for the project management for all assigned acquisitions, renovations, work requests, and special projects. Including compiling working and final budgets, transportation documents, site reports, purchase orders and quarterly chargeback program. S/he will work with design team on new architectural branding concept to establish all decorative elements, i.e. furniture, materials, lighting and accessories. The Senior Interior Designer will research the market for additional vendors to source new and existing interior design products including cost reduction initiatives, improving production capabilities and vendor compliance with durability requirements. S/he will also provide general department functions to support special projects as needed at request of team supervisor Your Building Blocks of Success Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or Decorative Arts or related degree is required (Bachelor level minimum)Minimum of three years professional work experienceExperience in Luxury High:end Interiors Residential or RetailMust have and extensive portfolio/address book for suppliers, vendors, tradersKnowledge of Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD and the ability to hand sketchKnowledge of units and measure to communicate site specific requirements/dimensionsMust be able to travel as required (50) Company Overview At Cortland, we create, reimagine, and manage apartment communities for over 100,000 residents nationwide.
