BASIC FUNCTION Medical Review Officer Designee will facilitate the processing and reporting of employment drug screen test results in existing urgent care markets for both the urgent care centers and employer groups. The position would process the documentation for drug screen test results that the MRO is not required to review, and those in which MRO may participate but not complete the review. The position would provide employer drug screen account set up for new urgent care centers and markets and provide research and training throughout the markets for state drug screen laws and regulations, apprising and training new MROs and clinic personnel in the MRO process. The position will help to ensure required equipment and training is identified and in place for drug screen services in new and existing urgent care markets. In addition, the position will operate out of the Coppell CareNow office, which will facilitate oversite of the MRO program in all urgent care markets. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES Transition Drug Screen Clients to MRO Program Receive drug screen, breath alcohol test results from all centers Match the results with the Custody and Control Form (CCF) Contact Marketing Department to start the transition to MRO services Contact company – discuss specific details including fees, contracts, method of electronic reporting (fax, e-mail, and/or web) Initiate contract for services Initiate e-mail verification form Request CSL through Quest Log request with Non-DOT MRO service on spreadsheet Log type of electronic reporting requested (fax, e-mail, and/or web) Update preference card – add CPT Code 82660.MR and Update FormFox and Assistant Pro Follow-up on contract status Initiate account File/Scan contract and e-mail verification form MRO Process Responsibilities Receive Drug Screen, breath alcohol test results from all centers Match the results with the Custody and Control Form (CCF) Check CCF for errors or omissions Fax an affidavit to the collector to fix “Correctable Flaws” Inform company, collector, Lab/X-ray Supervisor of Fatal Flaws Stamp negative results with the MRO signature and complete MRO section of the CCF Following employer preferences call, fax, and/or mail the completed results to the employer immediately upon receipt Report results Enter results into MRO computer program Store the results and the MRO copy of the CCF For Non-negative results call the MRO Fax/scan CCF and results to the MRO Follow the MROs instructions within the guidelines of the Federal Registry, 49CFR Initiate and distribute statistical reports to clients as requested Facilitate MRO audits as requested by employers
