This position will be a key member of the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO). The ideal candidate will have experience managing software and business process development projects in a large cross:functional organization from initial project request through delivery. This position is responsible for directly managing assigned projects that will consist of larger cross functional and complex initiatives to smaller more simple continuous business improvement projects. This position will coordinate and facilitate cross functionally with IT, Marketing, and other business units to ensure timelines are met and goals are achieved. The Project Manager has the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project to include planning, organization, and communication, as well as leading and controlling the project.The Project Manager is self:motivated and is able to lead with little supervision and is also responsible for the overall communication and measurement of projects throughout the project lifecycle in order to keep the projects on track and ensure alignment across the teams and order to accomplish this, some key duties include defining project baselines, tracking project progress, project status reporting, leading the project team, and taking corrective actions. Manage assigned programs and projectsInitiativesLarge Cross:Departmental ProjectsContinuous Business Improvement RequestsResponsible for overseeing and managing assigned programs and projects that include:Cataloging and owning project requestsCoordinating, leading, and managing project meetings and collaboration sessionsEstablishing objectives and milestonesDefining and guarding scopeResource capacity planning and velocity trackingPlanning, owning, leading, coordinating, and driving the projectWorking with vendorsWorking with non:local development organizationsDocumenting resultsKeeping project team alignedCoordinating and facilitating communication between departments and project team membersWork with the project team to identify the level of effort required for development, QA, and other business unitsWork with cross:functional departments to ensure they are engaged and prepared to implement new project initiatives including associated process changesMaintain project plan, timeline, status deck, sprint plans, backlogs and SharePoint siteWork directly with IT management, vendors and business owners to ensure timelines are committed to and those commitments are upheld.Enforce process and proceduresContinually evaluate current project management process and procedures to increase efficiency and productivityProduce, manage and report on project plansRisk managementPerforms duties/projects as assigned.5+ years project management experience in a telecommunications and/or IT development environmentProven ability to manage diverse cross:functional development and support teams.Proficient in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processProven track record managing large sized, complex business/technology projects and/or programsExperience in the corrections technology industry preferredProven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyBachelorA?s degree or equivalent experience requiredCompetenciesPC Skills (Word/Excel/Access/ PowerPoint/Microsoft Project/Visio)Able to work independently, with minimal supervisionStrong people management skillsStrong interpersonal communication skillsProficiencies in software and hardware development environmentsBasic telephony skillsStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsFamiliar with Portfolio Management Tools, SharePoint and others tools to enable successAbility and experience in creating and guiding the following:Project status, performance, and historical project metrics reportingBusiness requirementsUI/UX designsFunctional specificationsDesign documentsInstall
