Elite Line Services is currently looking for candidates to join our winning team as an Instructional Designer POSITION SUMMARY This position will report to Training Manager and will work with operations subject matter experts (SME) to assist with the development of new training content for the companyA?s Learning Management System (LMS). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Use the information gathered from SMEA?s, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMSA?s) and industry best practices to create the course, that may include;safetynecessary skillsequipment detailstoolinghuman resourcesImplement developed courses to train new hires and employees for professional development in industrial mechanical and electrical fields.Monitor and assign training via the companyA?s LMS.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSTwo yearsA? experience in training and development or tech writingDemonstrate an understanding of course design, development of e:learning projects, and curriculum developmentWorking knowledge of adult learning principles, Instructional Design principles and training contentExperience with learning management system administration is a plusExperience in e:learning development software (Captivate, Lectora, etc.) is a plus.Recording of video and audio might be required for some courses.A sharp eye for detail, research skills and the ability to work under strict deadlinesProficiency using MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).Strong writing and communication skillsPossible travel to visit maintenance operations to better evaluate training needs no more than 4x per year.SKILLS and ABILITIES Education : Degree in education or business administration preferred or equivalent experience. Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), E:Mail, scanning and copying equipment, e:learning development software. Other Requirements: Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.Must be able obtain and maintain an Airport Security badgeMust have and maintain a valid driverA?s license and be insurable under the CompanyA?s insurance policyMust be able to comply with the ELS Drug and Alcohol policy.Physical demands of this job may vary and can include (but not limited to), lifting, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds, walking, standing, climbing, crawling, bending and kneeling.
