Position Description 13;
Responsible for safe, accurate Picking and Checking of customer orders while meeting defined production standards within the Distribution Center.
:Pick customer orders using safe operation of powered industrial equipment, label printers, radio frequency scanners and keyboard data entry.
:Sort and check customer orders using scanners and conveying system, verify unit quantities, use proper packing materials and guidelines involving hazardous materials.
:Assist with inventory cycle counting using powered industrial equipment.
:Perform all necessary stock out checks and review with the Inventory Control Administrator or Coordinator as needed to reconcile inventory discrepancies.
:Review order information variances with Shipping Crew Leader or Coordinator.
:Maintain stock of the proper cardboard and packing supplies at packaging and checking stations.
:Observe all safety regulations and promote safe work habits.
:Maintain good housekeeping and works to achieve the housekeeping goals set forth by Warehouse Supervision. 13;
Position Requirements: 13;
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school diploma/ GED equivalent and valid state drivers license
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: One year of general warehouse/distribution knowledge.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: High school diploma
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: One year of manufacturing or warehousing operating experience using powered industrial equipment and radio frequency scanners.
SKILLS: High degree of mathematical skills, effective reading and writing skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy. Problem solving skills and ability to complete assigned responsibilities with minimal direction. Technical skills and ability to learn and operate new systems and software Ability to operate materials handling equipment.
