The Manager, Claims is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of these Default servicing teams : Claims, Charge : Off, and Loss Analysis (including management reporting and analytics, metrics reporting, risk management, and budgeting/forecasting). This position will be responsible for coordination of the initial and ongoing outsourcing of the Claims function. This position will be responsible for the implementation/deployment and ongoing management of needed Claims processing 3rd party technology solutions.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
:Responsible for oversight, direction, leadership, and vision for Claims, Charge:Offs, and Loss Analysis. Responsible to ensure compliance with all State, Federal, Regulatory, and Investor Requirements and guidelines. Responsible for oversight of all applicable vendors and third parties.Serves as the primary resource for ensuring policy and procedure changes are developed, implemented, and enforced across the Default area by utilizing risk identifiers such as internal/external audit findings for quality and compliance, KPI trends and investor scorecards. Work closely with Servicing Manager and Default Manager and all Servicing leadership to ensure thorough understanding, business impact and best practices of any regulatory changes and/or audit findings.
:Focuses on developing timely, effective, and actionable loss analysis reporting. Primary intent/objective of the Loss Analysis reporting will be to identify and address any control gaps, therefore mitigating future losses. Control gaps can exist in Collections, Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure, and Bankruptcy. Identify reporting needs to monitor effectiveness and operational risk. Continuously calibrate servicing operations with Servicing Manager and Default Leadership to ensure continuous surveillance of operational risk. Anticipate, recognize and resolve issues.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
:In:depth knowledge and experience of the performing loan and default servicing requirements for FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA, FHLMC loans and various private investors including: Collections, Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Claims, Charge Offs, Default Reporting, , Property Preservation, and REO
:In:depth knowledge of OCC, Dodd Frank, and CFPB mortgage servicing regulations.
:In:depth knowledge of project management methodologies.
:In:depth knowledge and understanding of mortgage insurance companies collection criteria and servicing guidelines
:Advanced knowledge of loan documentation
:Advanced mortgage application system knowledge
:Excellent management skills and ability to motivate staff to work as a teamThis level of knowledge is normally acquired through 20+ years equivalent Servicing management or Mortgage Banking management experience.
