Company: G6 Hospitality POSITION SUMMARY: The Income Tax Accountant plays a key role in completing federal and state income tax returns for and corporations, partnerships and LLCs. The position also plays an important role in communicating tax information to the management team and partners. The Income Tax AccountantA?s responsibilities include but are not limited to gathering information and preparing work papers to support tax return positions, completing quarterly estimated payment calculations, preparing annual report filings, researching US tax issues and supporting International Development by researching and understating tax law in Latin America and India. This is a representative list of the general duties, and it not intended to be all:inclusive.Identify and Analyze temporary and permanent tax differences for review by senior peersGather and compile information necessary for tax return support, such as general ledger detail, journal entries and invoicesEscalate issue to management when appropriatePrepare and process federal and state corporate, LLC and partnership returnsPrepare state quarterly estimated tax calculations Prepare quarterly taxable income forecastsPrepare and process annual report forms for timely filingResearch federal and state tax developments and issues as neededReconcile general ledger income tax accountsRespond to inquiries from tax authorities as neededPrepare multistate apportionment schedulesMaintain tax basis fixed asset reconciliationsTrack non:resident state withholding paymentsAssist with state income tax auditsParticipate in special projects as needed Job Requirements:Maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of timeRead and interpret form instructions and correspondence from tax authoritiesCommunicate effectively, both written and oral Understand and follow instructions from supervisors accurately and timelyMulti:task and prioritize workload Work within the appropriate level of independenceComprehend technical concepts quickly and apply them in practiceCollaborate with other departments across the Enterprise to gather informationFunction as a Team Member in a fast:paced environmentDisplay a high level of dedication to meet internal and external deadlinesIndependently stay abreast of changing tax law and apply to our business structureMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: BA in Accounting is required. CPA is preferred but not required.3:5 years of experience preparing federal and state corporate, partnership and LLC tax returns.Experience with state non:resident withholding ternational tax experience is preferred but not required.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and WordOrganizational skillsProven Analytical skillsOneSource and CCH Research experience preferred but not required
