Highgate maintains corporate offices in London, New York, Dallas, and Seattle.Full:TimeThe Accounting Controller is the senior accounting person for our European portfolio or hotels. The position is responsible for all aspects of financial management, financial control, accounting and financial reporting for assigned hotels. The Accounting ControllerA?s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, timely, responsive and accurate completion of the following duties.Accounting, financial reporting and controllership functions for assigned hotels which are accounted for on a centralized basisTimely preparation and issuance of complete and accurate monthly and annual hotel financial statementsCreation and/or review of annual budgets, monthly variance analyses, and related budget:creation policies and proceduresAssistance in the establishment, documentation, and adherence to Standard Accounting Policies and Procedures and internal controls for centralized accounting operationsMonitoring of hotel operations, cash flow and operating forecasts of assigned entitiesReview or preparation of monthly bank reconciliations and G/L reconciliations for assigned hotel propertiesSupervision of assigned hotel property Directors of Finance and staff in corporate accounting departmentReview, approval and processing of disbursementsSuccessful completion of internal and external financial audits, including coordination of work with CPA firms and delivering information requested by auditors on a timely basisPreparation of any special reports, statements, etc., as requestedAssist in the training of property Directors of Finance as requiredCommunicate with hotel and corporate management on accounting related issues as requiredOther special projects and responsibilities as assignedCash, cash, cashExpereince with accounting procedures and processes for European companies.Relevant financial management and accounting experience. Hospitality experience at both the property level and corporate supervisory level a plus. Bachelors Degree in Accounting required. CPA a plus. Strong PC skills including Excel, Word and financial accounting systemsStrong organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work extended hours as necessary to complete assigned dutiesPotential travel Must speak German
