The Collections Manager is primarily responsible for oversight of all Collections functions for Bank of Oklahoma Mortgage Company, from early intervention efforts through Loss Mitigation or Foreclosure processing. The Manager will ensure adherence to investor, regulatory, and compliance guidelines and applicable laws through all Collections activities and will proactively research regulatory and investor updates to maintain current knowledge of processes and requirements. The Manager will monitor internal and Investor reporting and will develop new reporting to accurately track and manage performance of the BOKM Collections activities while identifying process gaps that create risk or exposure to the Bank, including avoidance of compensatory fees and maximization of incentive fees available through satisfactory performance. The Manager will develop and maintain strong working relationships with applicable Investor groups and regulatory agencies. The Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the Collection staff ensuring they have adequate training and tools to perform the necessary functions of the job and developing KPI and corrective action plans as necessary.
:Ensures all Collections functions for BOKM adhere to Investor guidelines, OCC and CFPB regulations, Bank policies and procedures, and State and Federal laws, including the timeframes for execution, accuracy and appropriateness of decisions, and communication of decisions to borrowers and Investors.
:Monitors internal Collections processes and procedures to ensure BOK is maximizing incentive fee revenue while minimizing compensatory fee risk, through efficient work processes, performance and trending reports, task level activity oversight, and an effective quality program.
:Maintains current and robust knowledge of Collections regulations through interaction with applicable investor groups, proactive research of recent and upcoming changes in regulations, industry and client user groups and publications, and a highly developed network of industry professionals.
:Manages department personnel including development and management of performance scorecards, identifying and coaching to opportunities for growth, developing and implementing corrective action plans, and providing direction in how to solve for complex or unique account scenarios.
:Participates in department team meetings, various industry conference calls, travels to industry conferences or training sessions when needed. Works closely with vendors and investor representatives in a professional manner to maintain good business relationships, to improve work processes, and to keep abreast of industry changes.
:Management/leadership skills; ability to motivate staff, manage conflict situations, promote teamwork, result oriented
:PC skills to include MS Excel and Word programs
:Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; negotiation skills, training skills
:Good oral and written communications and basic mathematical skills
:Knowledge of mortgage documents and processes helpfulThis level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field and 7:10 years experience in conventional and government mortgage loan collections which includes 5:7 years supervisory experience; or 11:15 years of equivalent work related experience.
