Job Description:/h3:
Are you an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist looking to work for a dynamic company with a relaxed work environment (jeans every day) , *100 paid medical/ dental/ vision insurance premiums, and up to 10 days of PTO per year? If so, please consider working as an Accounts Payable Specialist at Altus Traffic
Purpose and Scope:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and effective data processing and maintenance within the accounts payable functions of the company. As a key member of the finance team you will be expected to operate in the best interests of the company.
Essential Functions:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
Processes regular vendor payments, matches invoices to checks, obtains all signatures for checks and distributes checks accordingly
Audit and process credit card bills
Processes Annual Form 1099
Respond to all vendor inquiries
Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files.
Assists in Month:End Closing.
Prepares analysis, reconciliation, and correction of accounts, as required.
Sort and distribute incoming mail
Assists with other projects as needed
Skills and Experience:
2+ Years of Accounts Payable Experience
High school diploma required, college courses in accounting preferred
Must be well organized and a self:starter
Proficient in Excel and Word, 10:key by touch
Possess strong organizational and time management skills
Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi:tasking skills
Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
*Note: Benefit eligibility is 1st of month following 30 days. PTO is available after 90 days, and PTO hours accrue per regular hours worked/ per month beginning day one.
